When I asked Max what his favorite part of the trip was he said it was hiking because he got to wear his "water backpack." When I asked him what his second favorite thing was he said sleeping in a tent.
Bret said that his favorite part of the trip was when he was fishing and Max was sitting on a rock near by. Max called Bret over to come and sit by him. He said, "Dad, this is a really great place." Then he told Bret how much he loved being there with his Dad. Bret is so glad that Max shares his love of the Uintas.
While they were hiking they passed some pack Llamas and as they passed one of them almost got Max.
They had a great time and I am sure that this is going to become a yearly tradition.

That looks so beautiful. It is so cute that Max and Bret camp together. Steve went to the Unitas this last month to meet the scouts, and talked about wanting to take our family back there…maybe next year. Hey thanks for you comments on my blog, you guys are so awesome, and you guys were great examples to me on how a person should serve in their callings…so thank you!

How fun!! Oh I wish we could have been there! Hopefully Avery will be a good camper and we can try going on a small trip next year. I miss the mountains. The only camping I got to do this year was girl’s camp, and let me tell you – that’s REALLY roughin’ it! :-)
