Valentine's Day is kind of a bitter sweet holiday in my family. My stepdad John passed away 7 years ago on Valentine's Day. Five years ago my neice Maggie was born on February 10th and passed away on February 26th. As I reflect on the loss we have felt I also reflect on the blessings and joy that life can bring. We are going to Manti this weekend to spend time with my Mom. We want her to know that even though her sweetheart is not here she is still loved by so many. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and can reflect on those in your life that you love.
When his daughter Maggie passed away my brother-in-law Andy wrote "Maggie's Message" I decided to post it here because I think it is very fitting for Valentine's Day.

I am glad you are going to Manti this weekend to be with Mom. That was a very sweet post.
This is a nice way to honor someone so special. My sister lost a baby about a 1 1/2 years ago. It is nice to know we can be with them again. I am sorry to hear about your step dad. I didn't know.
